The Give Back Grant
10% of every subscription goes back to Montessori schools.
ThatSoMontessori exists because Montessori classrooms exist. So we've made a standing commitment: ten percent of our subscription revenue funds an annual grant program for the schools doing the work — not as a promotion, but as how this company is built.
1 · The fund accrues
Ten percent of every subscription payment — every month, every plan — is set aside into the Give Back Grant fund throughout the year. It isn't a marketing round-up or a one-time pledge; it's a fixed share of our revenue, committed before anything else.
2 · Schools apply
Each spring, the application window opens (April 1 – May 31). Any recognized Montessori school or program — independent, public, or charter — can apply with a short application: who you are, what the funds would do, and what it would mean for your students.
3 · Applications are reviewed
Over the summer, applications are evaluated on three things: concrete impact on children, demonstrated need, and fidelity to Montessori practice. We favor specific, fundable plans — classroom materials, student scholarships, teacher training — over general operating asks.
4 · Grants are awarded annually
Recipients are announced each August and funds are distributed before the school year begins — one distribution per year, sized by what the fund accrued. Depending on the year, that may be one significant grant or several smaller ones.
For schools: how to apply
Applications open each April. To be notified when the next window opens — or to ask a question about eligibility — email hello@thatsomontessori.com with the subject “Give Back Grant.” Our first grant cycle follows our first full year of operation, and full program guidelines are published before each cycle opens.
Transparency
Each year we publish who received grants and what the funds made possible — the materials bought, the scholarships awarded, the teachers trained. Recipient schools confirm every award, so the commitment is verifiable where it matters: in real classrooms.
